Organized play for women is offered through SeaShore Picklers and Picklebecks. Most play includes a modest fee to cover court costs and/or an organizer’s fee.
SeaShore Picklers Women’s Doubles Ladder League
Our flex-day Doubles Ladder League runs February-October in 8-week sessions and you can join anytime during the session.
Each week you’ll play with a different group of 4-5 women, at the day and location you agree on. Move up and down the ladder based on your percentage of points earned.
Green League: For players rated 2.5- 3.0.
Red League: For players rated 3.0 – 4.0.
Cost: $40 per 12-week session.
Wednesday Queen’s Court
Organized non-competitive play on Wednesdays; signup on Playtime Scheduler. Generally runs from the early Spring into late Fall, weather dependent.
Friday Round Robin
Organized competitive play. DUPR of 3.25+ is required. Generally runs from the early Spring into late Fall, weather dependent. $10 fee to participate.
Wednesday Teams
Teams of four players at various skill levels compete against other teams during 6-week Wednesday evening sessions that take place over the spring and summer. Intermediate (3.0-3.5) and Advanced (3.5-4.0) leagues alternate every 6 weeks between April and October. The Teams League interest form will be sent to the SeaShore Picklers listserv prior to each session.
Women’s Cross Club Pickleball League (Traveling Team)
During summer months, teams of eight from Seattle, Camano Island, Mt. Vernon, and Everett/Mukilteo travel to compete against each other. There are two team levels: 3.25 to 3.60 and 3.61 to 4.0. All matches take place during the day, during the week. This is an invite-only league, but if you’re interested in playing, contact Kate Beck info@picklebecks.com.
Monday Round Robin Play
This invite-only group at the 3.25 level and above plays throughout the year on Mondays. The group is full at the moment but if interested contact info@seashorepicklers.com
Volley Girl Round Robin (Mondays)
This invite-only group (3.0 to 3.5 level) plays throughout the year on Mondays (10am to Noon) at Bitter Lake. The group is full at the moment but if interested contact Janice English at janiceenglish1@gmail.com
Shoreline Open Play
Shoreline Park: Saturdays / Sundays / Holidays 8 a.m. to around 1 p.m.
While not just for women, this is a welcoming all-levels, all ages open-play event. The paddle-stacking system is used with four players (who may or may not know each other) rotating on and off the courts after playing a game to 11, win by 2. New players will get some limited informal instruction from other players.
Camano Island Open Play
CSPA (Camano Stanwood Pickleball Association) offers regularly scheduled Pickleball sessions at the Camano Island Pickleball/Tennis Courts (141 NE Camano Drive, Camano Island, WA). There is open play Sunday thru Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sign up on Playtime Scheduler. Guests are welcome to come and play for a few sessions.
