Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer with DIIP
DIIP (Diversity and Inclusion in Pickleball) seeks to bring the game of Pickleball to underserved communities in Seattle, and expand the ethnic, economic, and geographic diversity in pickleball play and instructional activities. DIIP is sponsored by Seattle Metro Pickleball Association, and is driven by Sue Goodwin, along with an advisory council of community representatives. Find out more here!
DIIP is looking for people to help set up and volunteer at community events. All are welcome. Interested? Email suegoodwin2016@gmail.com.
We have an ongoing need for people interested in gathering information for our newsletter and updating our website. We also depend on volunteers to organize our semi-annual potluck. Interested in helping? Contact info@seashorepicklers.com and watch our Facebook page for other opportunities.
Seattle Metro Classic
The Seattle Metro Classic, the state’s marquee pickleball tournament staged by the Seattle Metro Pickleball Association (SMPA), depends on dozens of volunteers who help in a variety of roles to make sure players have a great experience. Many of those volunteers (and players!) are Seashore Picklers. The summer tournament usually takes place in July or August, at Shoreview Park in Shoreline. New in 2026 is the Winter Classic, taking place over President’s Day weekend at Sideout Tsunami in Seattle. Check the SMPA website for updated information.
